When musician Annie Clark hires her friend Carrie Brownstein to film a backstage documentary about her public persona St. Vincent’s music, touring life, and on-stage persona, the two creative forces band enthusiastically together.
Soon they are led down a rabbit hole where unpredictable forces take hold, and warped identities and outrageous egos are let loose. This puts everything at risk, their friendship, the project, and the duo’s creative lives.
Real-life friends Annie Clark/St. Vincent and Carrie Brownstein have also written the script for this hilarious, meta-fictional fever dream.
