Come and explore classical myths and the films devoted to them, including Troy, the Odyssey, Clash of the Titans (both versions), Iphigenia, Black Orpheus, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Hercules and the Immortals. We'll read original works on which the movies are based as well as some critical reaction to the movies, and in the process, learn how classical mythology has come to be treated in modern culture by comparing it to its original reception in antiquity.
