In this film, through the color, cinematography and fast paced editing, I explore the beauty and ugliness of Chicago and where they collide. The saturation is lowered a bit through the shots, so the viewer is more focused on what is being shown and less about the colors. A lot of POV shots were used as if the viewer is walking through Chicago observing these shots as a Chicago resident. At 0:13, the garbage is shown using the rule of thirds and is revealed as the people walk past it. At 00:57, I used a out-of-focus 3d background. The cigarette is in-focus while the chaos of the city takes up the other half of the frame. At 1:02, I use an ultra closeup of an interior of a plant to reveal the garbage inside.
