Con alle spalle studi d’artista e una quasi carriera da pubblicitario, Pasquale Martini vive e lavora da oltre vent’anni come allevatore di maiali. Perché gli umani stufano, dice. Mentre gli animali mantengono viva la creatività. E’ in simbiosi con i loro ritmi che trova infatti il giusto equilibrio per sfogare la propria sensibilità artistica: un percorso visionario e surreale, un’opera capace di riscrivere i confini tra uomo e istinto, grugnito e parola.

Along the lower reaches of the River Po is where Pasquale Martini lives and survives.
After fleeing from the advertising sector, in the 1990s he chanced upon the area’s huge pig farms, where he was to end up working for the next twenty years. It was within this dimension, living in such close symbiotic proximity with his animals, that he developed and expressed his artistic sensitivity – a visionary, surreal journey, a work capable of redrawing the boundaries between Man and instinct, grunting and words.
