SYNOPSIS
Stretching along 4,000 miles, the Brazilian coast has rich biodiversity and hosts impressive encounters and surprises.
As the sun rises, Sea Turtle babies see the light for the first time and, following their instincts, head out to the sea to begin a long and challenging journey in their never-ending struggle for survival. In the coral reefs, they find shelter, food and witness the curious relationships among a large variety of marine species.
The wildlife on the coast of Brazil is ruled by a complex tangle of bonds and natural elements. Tidal movements impose the rules in different environments, but in the recesses of Maranhão coast, where the water height variation is the greatest in the world, another species of Turtle faces a painful journey in search of water: the Maranhão Slider. The tide pools are genuine life nurseries and sanctuaries for several marine species. The tides dance and create an amazing spectacle: the dangerous crossing of Red Mangrove Crabs.
In the vast blue, the little Sea Turtle baby will bump into giants, such as the impressive Humpback Whales that arrive at the warm and calm waters of the Northeastern region to reproduce and raise their calves. There, male Humpback Whales will fight for the attention of females in epic and exciting encounters.
