Every time I hear this, it reminds me of Max's journey in Where the Wild things are.
There is this immediate sensation of adventure.
The bumpy road Bach paints with sounds is hilariously funny.
I image him on a Monday evening after a day of composing & Anna Magdalena asking him: “How did you did you do today?” (Wie hast du es heute gemacht?) and Bach mimicking Maurice Sendak’s smile and happily shows on his lute clavichord some of those harmonic progressions he came up with that morning. And Anna smiles back because she loves Johann's smile and the harmonic progressions are indeed very funny, (while the subject is so tragic). Did some of his sons film this for history & documented it for instagram? Wilhem? Carl? I couldn’t ‘t find anything in the Bach Documente (Johann Sebastian Bach; Bach-Archiv Leipzig.). So instead: a stroll of a ladybird I met saw today.
