Black Box ist ein nicht-ergebnisorientiertes, offenes Forschungsprojekt. Untersuchungsgegenstand ist der Film in seiner Funktion als Schnittstelle zwischen Realität und ihrer Darstellung.

Mit Black Box 2 präsentiert PetMaGu den Schwarzanteil internationaler Filmklassiker. Alle Bilder wurden durch Weiß ersetzt. Nur hin und wieder erscheinen kuze schwarze Filmsequenzen auf den Monitoren.

Black Box is a public research project which is not orientated around results. The topic of research is the film and its function as a boundary between reality and its representation.

In Black Box 2, images from cinema history classics are once again removed but this time they are replaced with white. Now and again short, black film sequences appear on the monitors.
