Spirits in Color: A short film by Owen Tacy '20 in honor of his grandmother, Barbara, who was instrumental in bringing daffodils to Marvelwood. Each spring, the campus is blanketed by hundreds of daffodils thanks to Barbara Tacy GP ‘20, 23, wife of former Headmaster Peter Tacy. Barbara worked tirelessly to teach our students everything she knew about daffodils to help us enhance our campus and biology curriculum. Barbara passed away in 2016 after a nearly three-decade fight with cancer. The campus is now ablaze each spring with a wide variety of daffodils, some from the Tacy’s own garden in Mystic, CT, which will regenerate and grow each year. We are extremely grateful to Barbara for such a beautiful and meaningful legacy.
