Jim Thorpe (1887 – March 28, 1953) was an American athlete and Olympic gold medalist. A member of the Sac and Fox Nation, Thorpe won two Olympic gold medals in the 1912 Summer Olympics (one in classic pentathlon and the other in decathlon)

My mom Annie Johnson Cooday (Kool Gaat) was born in 1897 -1973. Jim Thorpe was a hero for my mom and her friends. Jim Thorpe was also a champion ballroom dancer.
