Short documentation of my studio installation of "Encounters," 2018, a 1-minute looping video and a 10-second looping video (both silent), white painted wood panel, white cloth, aluminum foil, and white paper, approximately 6’ high x 14’ wide x 6’ deep, Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, Vermont. A film depicting imagery of water crashing into and spraying over a jetty is projected onto the wall and objects. A second film aimed at the floor projects imagery of floating white orbs on a black background onto foil pieces scattered on the floor. This work is inspired by the chaotic encounter of natural bodies of water with surrounding objects.
