National Geographic’s Documentary Films team has joined forces with executive producer James Cameron to showcase a unique all-female anti-poaching ranger unit in Zimbabwe. Called Akashinga, this courageous group puts themselves in harm’s way to defend wildlife using what the film calls the most powerful force in nature: a woman’s instinct to protect. The doc short will premiere at the EarthxFilm Festival to mark the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
