AIKONTAKUTO (Eye Contact) is a 2D paper animation of my art in motion, stop motion that is. I was just an instrument in this wave of creative energy and expression. I went within and this is what came out.

This is my first completed film project, made in under 8 weeks and finished on January 31st, 2019. I used what I had at home; paper, cardboard, angelina film, marker, colored pencils, compass, an x-acto knife, a camera and computer. The only things purchased was a prisma color pencil and an x-acto cutting mat. I borrowed sticky tack, music from the interweb, ideas from a daydream, pillars of Gobekli Tepe, and a national geographic picture of two women sitting on the ground in front of giant bins of seed/grains, covered in a veil from head to toe.

AIKONTAKUTO was accepted and premiered at SXSW 2019 at AFS Cinema on March 10th, 2019.
Screened at Transform Film Fest 2019 at the Austin Cinemaker Space/Austin School of Film on April 6th, 2019.
Screened at NomadX at Empire Control Room on May 25th, 2019.
Screened at Hyperreal Film Club Family Movie Night at Palomino Coffee and then released on the world wide web on September 11th, 2019.

My best cat friend, Deeg passed during the making of this project, I dedicate AIKONTAKUTO to him.

This project was a reflection of my state of consciousness and is open for interpretation. Maybe it somehow resonates with you. I enjoyed working on it and hope you enjoy watching.
