As my partner and I work for ourselves, this pandemic has been a double-edged sword. With working from home prior, we’ve been well equipped with distancing ourselves, but like other freelancers (especially in the creative fields) we were hit pretty hard. That being said, we’ve been here before and in strife comes creativity, ingenuity, and opportunity to rebuild.
As a first step, I decided to bring my little Sony RX0ii pocket-sized cinema camera, out for our isolated coffee in nature. This is a Greek (Turkish to some) coffee if you’re wondering. I’ve been using this setup on another shoot (on hold) and wanted to see how much I could squeeze out this little camera. Limiting the gear I could use forced me to focus on my craft and was also quite liberating. This is one of many micro-projects I’ll be releasing to push my craft to come out of this better than ever.
