Da sette anni a oggi l'Associazione LIFE AFTER OIL promuove e organizza l'omonimo festival cinematografico internazionale, ideato e diretto dal regista Massimiliano Mazzotta. Nata sotto la presidenza onoraria del regista Giuseppe Ferrara - autore di note opere di denuncia sociale e politica, poi scomparso nel 2016 - l'Associazione LIFE AFTER OIL ha eletto fin da subito la Sardegna come sede del Festival. La Sardegna come base internazionale per trattare i temi dell'ambiente e diritti umani attraverso tutti i mezzi dell' audiovisuale. Dopo due edizioni a Martis (2014, 2015), una a Stintino (2016) tre a Santa Teresa Gallura (2017, 2018, 2019) e una aOttana (2019), quest'anno il Festival farà tappa ad Ottana dal 3 al 5 Settembre e a Santa Teresa Gallura dall'8 al 13 Settembre. Saranno nove giorni di proiezioni; tre giorni ad Ottana, luogo simbolo dell'industrializzazione sarda negli anni '60 ma anche comunità con salde radici e sei giorni a Santa Teresa Gallura affacciata sull'area marina protetta. In questo 2020, dove siamo tutti coinvolti nella pandemia, le amministrazioni locali e regionali che normalmente finanziano il progetto, sono state costrette a ridurre drasticamente il budget per eventi culturali e, in generale, per il settore turistico. Parte di questi fondi viene utilizzata per la gestione della logistica e per le persone che lavorano per la realizzazione dell'evento ed è qui che chiediamo il vostro aiuto e supporto finanziario. Nel frattempo, vorremmo ringraziare i comuni di Ottana (Nu), Santa Teresa Gallura (Ss), Oristano (Or), Pattada (Ss) e l'Associazione Democratica Medicina Onlus per il loro contributo e supporto.

For seven years, the LIFE AFTER OIL Association has been promoting and organizing the international film festival of the same name, conceived and directed by the director Massimiliano Mazzotta. Born under the honorary chairmanship of director Giuseppe Ferrara - author of famous works of social and political denunciation, who died in 2016 - the LIFE AFTER OIL Association has immediately elected Sardinia as the Festival venue. Sardinia as an international base for dealing with environmental and human rights issues through all audiovisual media. After two editions in Martis (2014, 2015), one in Stintino (2016),three in Santa Teresa Gallura(2017, 2018, 2019)and one in Ottana (2019), this year the Festival will stop in Ottana from 3 to 5 September and in Santa Teresa Gallura from 8 to 13 September. It will be nine days of screenings; three days in Ottana, a symbol of Sardinian industrialization in the 60s but also a community with solid roots, and six days in Santa Teresa Gallura overlooking the protected marine area. In this 2020 where we all are involved with the pandemic, the local and regional administrations that normally finance the project, have been forced to drastically reduce the budget for cultural events and, in general, for the tourism sector. Part of these funds are used for logistics management and for the people who work for the realization of the event and this is where we ask for your help and financial support. In the meantime, we would like to thank the municipalities of Ottana (Nu), Santa Teresa Gallura (Ss), Oristano (Or), Pattada (Ss) and the Associazione Democratica Medicina Onlus for their contribution and support.
