Two show executives are opening auditions for a new cartoon show, rejecting all candidates so far. Until a wacky and hyper 2D cartoon, Lisa Consuela, enters the scene ready to show her stuff and get the main role she knows she is destined for.
Since coming to the school I wanted to experiment with combining different styles of animation with live-action. inspired by previous contemporary works like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cool World, and the NFB short Real Inside, decided to go with that idea and make a film that my fellow graduates could related to; that of going through a job interview or an audition.
I decided to try a shot at comedy because I believe that it helps save lives. Through it we can bring attention to an issue in life, educate people on these issues, and/or help overcome adversity by flipping our problems on its head and revealing a way to move on.
Coming to Canada from the faraway land of Mexico, 28 years old Eduardo Alonso arrived with one goal: to learn and work in animation. With that purpose in life he obtained two diplomas, one in 3D Animation and the other in Game Design, before enrolling into Emily Carr University of Art & Design for a BA in 2D animation production. His main objective moving forward is to work in the animation industry to entertain and in the future have his own cartoon show.
