Monk, or Quaker, Parakeets are the only type in the world to build communal nests. Power poles seem to be their favorite nesting site, probably due to their sturdiness. In this short, I imagine them buzzing with electricity wherever they go. I find them to be strange, funny, and colorful creatures. I wanted to create a video comic of sorts to portray them. This is one of several art pieces about birds I am making for a series called "Thinking in Feathers".
