Here is a character design inspired by an aptly named instrument called a Serpent. This one was created in a very traditional cel animation method. Every frame was hand drawn. (So, it took me .... ahem...longer than expected! )

I am creating a series of character designs based on strange instruments. The project was originally inspired by a visit to the Czech Museum of Music, which houses a number of really fantastic/weird/rare instruments.
