Bullying has been acknowledged as a worldwide problem in schools. Applying social-emotional learning (SEL) is one of the key factors in bullying prevention. However, it is challenging for teachers to transform the necessary SEL knowledge into a deliverable and practical lesson due to the lack of well-designed tools to evaluate the performance. Our product, MangaChat, aims at solving this problem by providing K12 students a diary platform based on psychology and AI. Students can practice positive thinking through journaling their emotions, while teachers can receive a notification once the system recognizes negative emotions like depression.
