Step 2: Draw another storyboard.
Step 3: Repeat Step 2.

An emergent story unfolding from an experimental process. I'm making it up as I go, inspired by a Martin Scorsese interview where he talked about how he loved drawing storyboards before he even knew they were called storyboards. It got me excited thinking in sequence, images, movement, pacing, surprise, leading and subverting the expectant gaze.

Here I want to explore framing through 1st hand tactile play and experimentation. I intentionally began without an articulated story which quickly revealed one of the most powerful things about the moving image: our intuitive urge to create narrative and meaning. What comes next?

Vimeo, unlike YouTube, allows me to update video files as I progress. I expect to update this about once a week as long as work deadlines allow it. I'm only using ink to keep the storyboard sketches fast, loose, and gestural.
