You might think a dollar isn’t worth much these days. But at Foodbank, every dollar donated is enough to provide two desperately needed meals to someone in crisis.

The campaign launched with 30” and 15” TV. The spots use prose read by Noni Hazlehurst, outlining the many trivial things that can be purchased with a dollar (some string, half a newspaper) and aims to encourage all Australians to donate to Foodbank, knowing how big an impact just $1 can make to an Aussie in need, with $1 providing a meal for 2.

Illustration by Australian artist Carla McRae brings the prose to life with simple line work in colour-blocked shapes using Foodbank’s palette.

Ian Liang, GM at Foodbank explains “With a recession looming, many are finding themselves unable to afford their next meal for the first time. This is set to continue to get worse, so we needed something that would help us stand out from the crowd and have a powerful call to action to enable us to meet the challenge – we want Australians to know that even a small donation will help those in need”
