This came through me late last year. It’s hard hitting!
It requires an honest look at our own privilege to understand this piece.
As I brought this piece to life & read it even now, I feel a deep sadness, a moving truth, a power that calls us to see clearly what systems we have benefited from & to take a look at our implicit biases. Also the pain we may cause by not owning what we as white peoples could.
It’s a call to action this poem. May it’s power BE, just a little bit of medicine.
