A 1950's design by Wernher von Braun for a wheel shaped Space Station, spinning to simulate gravity. The big mirror is for the Solar powered mercury boiler, it focuses sunlight on the sphere at the top centre of the station.

All done in Lightwave 3d

The model was made some time ago, I only just came across it again, tidied up the surfaces, and set up an animation.
