New York City employs over half a million healthcare workers . In a city hit hard by the Covid-19 crisis, those workers are toiling around the clock to provide care, often at great risk to their own health. Unagi wants to help simplify at least one hazard for those brave frontline workers: commuting.
One such health worker, physician Simran Gill MD, reached out to Unagi with a request for help.
When Doctor Gill informed about the severity of the situation, Unagi immediately sprang into action and sent ten scooters to Doctor Gill and his colleagues at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital..
