This is the introduction of my first documentary film made in the project Izazov! The Complete Freedom of Truth (TCFT), which came to life, thanks to Robert Golden and Tina Ellen Lee.

I was always proud of my city’s uniqueness rooted in the strength of its labor movement and its ethnically rich and diverse working class.
At the first sight, Tuzla is not really an interesting city for tourists with rich nature or beautiful sightseeing (except of the salt lakes in the center of the city).
But if we dig deeper we cannot avoid the uniquely resilient history of struggle.
For more than 100 years we survived as a strong working-class culture, and the whole world have known Tuzla for resisting the strongest ethnicisation in the most critical years of the 1990s.

Tuzla was an important industrial center of the whole region, but in recent years, Tuzla has experienced a dramatic decay and attempts by nationalist politicians to drive a wedge through our multi-ethnic solidarity.

In the second part I will present interviews with people involved in the center of social activism of the city to see whether my perceptions on Tuzla ,as a city that is still resilient to nationalist siege on all sides are correct or far from truth.
