Based on a recent personal experience, To … talks about a kind of self-destruction that is not visible, one that grows within oneself until it overwhelms one’s life physically and emotionally. For a couple of years, I have surrounded myself with this self-destructive energy in which the outcome was negative for myself as an artist and a human being. I’d regularly sabotage my achievements and treat myself like i don’t deserve any of the things I’ve received. Most of the time, I bring myself down when something good occurs. This mindset really weighed down on my heart, mind, and body such that I was emotionally drained and physically tired.

To … is a set of 6 posters and an experimental animation that encapsulates the chaos, the words, and the feelings I felt within this time of my life. It is my attempt to process a past I have chosen to forget, which acts as a memento, like a page of a journal, and a warning: do not do this to yourself again.
