Percussion is the simplest instrument we have, literally, in our hands, and it has been marking humanity’s tempo for millennia. In a global climate where conflict is on the rise, it’s useful that we all have an underlying beat in common, the sound of ancient drums or the one of our own cardiac muscle.
The Temple is an interactive metavirtual installation: a link between virtual and physical reality, designed to be an experience both for the user and the external observer. The virtual environment is both a temple and a playground that allows the user to freely create music. Every hit in the digital world is translated to light in the real one, thanks to light beams that follow each movement of the musician, creating a fleeting copy of the virtual in the real.
