THE SPORTS BUZZ ON THE AIR talks to Kopperl head coach Luis Guereca after the Class 1A, Division II Dragons grounded the Kopperl Eagles, 56-6, in a home win to open the all-Bosque County District 12-1A, DII competition Friday night in THE SPORTS BUZZ Game Of The Week.
Iredell (1-0 in district, 3-2 overall) wasted no time in building an insurmountable lead with scoring strikes on the ground and through the air. And after building a 46-6 advantage over Kopperl (0-1, 0-5) before halftime, the Dragons ended the game with 3:46 remaining in the third quarter by virtue of the 45-point mercy rule.
