Filmed on April 19th, 2020, “The Passing of a Day (Shelter at Home)” is a documentation of one day during the coronavirus pandemic. On my street, during shelter-at-home, there were few pedestrians and almost no vehicular traffic. The street is still except for the blowing wind and the movement of shadows marking the passage of time. The film reflects the incongruous stillness that cities embodied despite the state of emergency and panic during the height of the pandemic.
