Quite pessimistic, the only three options on the slot machine are "sad", "autopilot" and "ded inside". By getting three of a kind, the player is rewarded with a fitting prize, in this case coffee beans to keep them going.
The nostalgic look and music, associated with cartoons like Betty Boop for example, were chosen to keep the animation funny by placing it in an other time.
