The light is in me expresses how hard mothering can be but at the same time shows the beauty of life itself. Movement, colour, energy. In every motherhood journey there are ups and downs. There are also lots of moments that no one can see because they are hidden under countless layers of short days and long nights. Like motherhood, this painting is full of hidden layers, things that you can’t see at first glimpse, but that are also part of it and actually make it what it is.
Nonetheless, what I truly wanted to express with this colourful and playful painting is that when you connect with yourself, when you fill your cup, and you feel the Light inside, the Love comes out, and that Love is what truly guides your day to day as a mother.
