A short 3-shot animation I did for a school’s project. Animated and rendered in Maya. This is my first time building a character from scratch including texturing and rigging. The old man is an original character who is a hermit. The concept of this animation is based on my imagination of an ancient Chinese poet (archetype: Tao Yuanming 陶渊明) living around 300-400 AD. He also has a secret cyberpunk attic that only he has access to when the outside world annoys him too much:)
