This black and white, analog film was shot on a Bolex camera in the Fall of 2017 by Elizabeth Green in Collaboration with Quinn Thomashow. This short was a basic exercise in becoming comfortable with handling/ working with the Bolex like exposing the film correctly, focusing and using the view finder to follow movement.
We had wanted to follow a simple story like the classic children's book 'The Giving Tree', though in this film there is a slight iteration to the story. An exchange for the apple that the tree gives to the girl, her spending time with the tree.
