Detroit Action’s Executive Director, Branden Snyder, will unpack the history and context of the movement to #DefundthePolice and discuss what alternative safety models are available for local governments and learn how the City of Flint has taken steps to implement a Black Lives Matter citizen-led police review board and resolutions to prohibit bias crime reporting and to recognize racism as a public health crisis.
