The fixed Idea is an animated poetry inspired by the work of Paul Toussaint Jules Valéry. In the work, the poet entrusts the confession, in the form of lively dialogue, of the intellectual knots that had obsessed and fascinated him during his existence. The book seduces and surprises for its expressive form, its "semi-interior, semi-articulate" talk in which the ego shatters and dissolves, and where thought finds its unknown, vital agility. This is why I decided to extrapolate the beginning, analyze it and transform it into a strictly personal audiovisual vision, creating images that evoke or amplify my interpretation of the literary work.
From the animatic point of view, the whole scene consists of a sequence plane where real objects come out juxtaposed with each other, with a slight manipulation (scales, stones and face), in such a way as to integrate with the words examined. The creation of texts with a whisper background represents the process that the mind does in the moment of formulating a thought (whether positive or negative). A small project that tries to make us reflect on the contemporary human condition, extremely complex and in conflict with its own future.
