The Earth

The project is implemented for a master's degree. This is an installation on the topic of global environmental problems presented in the form of an interactive projection.

The image was displayed on a satellite dish about 2 by 2 meters, which has a concave shape that will add the effect of a real sphere.

Software:
A planet created in the Touch Designer software, where the kinect is also connected to the graphics to track the participant's hands. One person can be a participant at a time. Which in this case emphasizes the main idea of the project - even one person's activities are significant and affect the ecology of the planet and can not go unnoticed. Also I created two Earth textures that were drawn in Adobe Photoshop.

How is it working:
The viewer is open pieces of the planet with the help of a hand movement and see what the planet can stand thanks to the actions of humanity, if we do not stop destroying it with our own hands. When someone moves their hand, parts of the Earth open and the contrast is shown - what would the Earth be like without oceans and greenery - dried, lifeless and quite empty. This will help emphasize the importance of saving what we have.

It will also show the power of human impact on a global scale. After opening a specific area, it will be visible for a few seconds and then disappear, allowing the viewer to see the planet alive and beautiful again. I would like to show that we still have a chance to fix everything and save the environment for future generations. I hope that after watching my project, people will think about where they lead our activities and how easy it is to destroy what we received.
