2015 - The Devonian Billabong is Alive

the CORRIDOR project produced the Devonian Billabong for the Orange Cowra Cabonne Science Hub - National Science Week in collaboration with the Age of the Fishes museum, palaeontologist Dr Alex Richie and acclaimed artist Craig Walsh. The CORRIDOR project has an ongoing ambition to re-create local billabongs from the Devonian era using 3D animation, bringing the Canowindra Grossi and other fish species and habitats back to life. 

Note: The Devonian Billabong 2015 was a commissioned site specific multi art-form projection located at the Swinging Bridge Canowindra, NSW, Australia. The Grossi fish species was projected into the flowing Belabula river, to simulate the Grossi species from the Devonian Period known as the Age of Fishes. Fossils from this era can be viewed at the Age of Fishes Museum in Canowindra, NSW, Australia, which David Attenborough says is a “world class” example of the Age of Fishes represented as a fossil collection.
