La langue française regorge d’expressions plus magiques et farfelues les unes que les autres. L’expression "poser un lapin" m’a toujours fasciné et en devient le sujet de ce film. Parce que nous avons tous eu cette sensation désagréable d'attendre quelqu'un en vain ...

Quelques mots sur la direction artistique :
L’atmosphère du film se veut détaché de la réalité pour créer un imaginaire à la fois poétique et burlesque. La modélisation est un élément clé pour retranscrire cette impression de hors norme. Mon challenge a été sur la forme du personnage aux traits gras, arrondis, proche du cartoon. Mais aussi, sur le design de tous les objets qui l'entourent.
Un travail a aussi été porté sur les couleurs avec l’utilisation centrale d’une gamme de bleu, et d’une touche de jaune et de rose pour valoriser certains motifs.
Ce contraste est amplifié par le rajout de textiles "réalistes" sur les vêtements, les coussins ou encore le chiffon posé sur la bar.
Ce projet s'inscrit dans une démarche personnelle de m'améliorer en animation, en lighting, modélisation, texturing, rendus et plus globalement en 3D.

The French language is fulfilled of magical and eccentric expressions. The expression "put down a rabbit" means in french to stand someone up is always fascinated and becomes the subject of this film. Because we all had this unpleasant feeling of waiting for someone in vain ...

A few words about the art direction:
The film’s atmosphere is meant to be detached from reality to create an universe that is poetic and burlesque. 3D modeling is a key element to transcribing this impression of an extraordinary reality. My challenge was to design the shape of the character with bold, rounded lines, close to the cartoon. But also, on the design of all the objects that surround it.
Work was also carried out on colors with the central use of a range of blue, and a touch of yellow and pink to enhance certain patterns.
This contrast is amplified by the addition of "realistic" textiles on the clothes, the cushions or even the rag placed on the bar.
This project is part of a personal process to improve myself in animation, lighting, modeling, texturing, rendering and more generally in 3D.
