The Confabulator - written and performed by Helen O'Leary.
This malleable new work is evolving out of a core relationship with listening as a critical practice in Dementia care. O’Leary nimbly straddles multiple notions of form, time, sound, action, visuals, character, memory and identity which test the conventional dimensions of working with and without words and meaning, in a theatrical context.
Performance duration is 50 minutes.
The performance can be delivered in it’s entirety in a single space or alternatively can be split into 3 separate mini shows captured in different areas of the Venue in a staggered fashion to be discovered “round a corner” so to speak or stumbled upon.
The Confabulator ...listening with empathy to hear the whole person.
