Meet Emerald Doyle, an educational advocacy recipient of The Arc Pikes Peak Region. Emerald is now a college student who has not only overcome learning disabilities, but was inspired to give back to the girls and families of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Adopted from China at the age of 11, and attending school for the first time upon arriving to the US, Emerald's story is one of perseverance, empathy, and strategic action, highlighting that it is possible to live from your heart and achieve your dreams and goals.
