One year ago today, we lost a legend.
Stephen Hillenburg's work has inspired me since that fateful day I watched the premier of SpongeBob as a kid, and was hooked by the amazing writing and charm of the characters. Hillenburg brought a gentle sweetness to his creation, a world free from cynicism that audiences can escape to while cleverly absurd stories unfold.
Steve used his talents to make the world a better place, and inspired multiple generations to want to do the same, and I can't thank him enough for that.
