Happy Memorial Day and welcome to another event of the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park’s concert series. The park's mission is to serve the nation as a global leader in the dissemination of New Orleans jazz by enhancing and instilling a public appreciation and understanding of the origins, history, development and progression of this uniquely American art form.

Tank and the Bangas are an exciting, Grammy-nominated jazz-fusion, group from New Orleans. They have been active for a decade and plays music from soul to hip-hop, hip-hop and rock; everything flows seamlessly. The lyrics and storytelling have an incredible amount of depth and character, and the band supports the delivery perfectly.

This concert is set on a darkly lit stage. The band is set in front of a screen displaying animation graphics. The lead singer is in the front with the backup vocalist on her left and flutist on her right. Behind is the synth and guitar player, drummer and bassist in this order from left to right.
