I shot this between 05:29 - 06:52 from Wexford, Ireland. SpaceX's 'Starlink' satellites are seen tracing across the pre-dawn Sky. At the moment there are in excess of 100 of these satellites operational around our planet. Elon Musk intends a further 42,000 of these to be launched in to a low-Earth-orbit to facilitate 'faster Internet'. Fully operational, this 'constellation' as he euphemistically puts it, will destroy our night skies. All terrestrial and Earth-facing observing will be affected. This cannot be allowed to happen. If you have any influence in the global astronomy community I urge you to take action now, before any more satellites have been launched in to this system, and it has ruined the beauty of our Night Sky for generations to come.
