Snake Fight!

Play, download and edit the video Snake Fight!.
In lieu of being able to share new content (yet), I figured a quick breakdown of this scene I animated for Moss would be fun.
We had a few goals for this event:
1) Get Quill to the switch to unlock the gate so the player could kill the snake.
2) Adrenaline! Moss is mostly a fairly calm, meditative experience, but we wanted to end on an exciting note.
3) Showing a change in Quill's resolve. She's been through a lot by this time, and with you by her side, she's gained the confidence to confront her fears. This is when you see it for the first time. She's so close to saving Argus, she's not losing now!
4) Prototype what it could look like if Quill wall-jumped and zip-lined. Granted, it's in a scripted event, but seeing her do these things opens the door for future navigation options. (Though, if we actually do these in gameplay in the future is very much undecided)
The rope is 3 bones. One at each end, and one that slides along above Quill as she zip-lines along. The texture is in world space so not to stretch with the geo. The snake and rope are in a static positions in the world, so all we needed to do was align Quill to a point at the start of this sequence.
