Here is a progression video for my entry to Pixar's RenderMan Shipshape Art Challenge (renderman.pixar.com/news/renderman-shipshape-art-challenge).
Pixar provided the untextured, un-uv-mapped base model for the ship and the robots; all shading, lighting, additional modeling, and environment stuff is my own.
Everything was lit/shaded/rendered with RenderMan for Maya. Modeling was mostly Maya, with some Houdini for simulation work. All additional models are my own. Texturing was done in Substance Painter. Composited and graded in Photoshop and Lightroom.
