From an early age, I have always been interested in questions: what does everything consist of, how does everything work? In "Insight" I render a system of psychological and social communication that includes both me and the viewer. It is difficult to explain how the human mind works, and the lack of understanding of the chains of causes and effects makes one feel as surrounded by blind darkness. The topography or map of the psyche depicted in the work is a product of my imagination. It is a system as a single organism and the construction of one's self – it is a non-linear collage of images symbolizing life experiences. It is based on the theory of psychic determinism – the belief that psychic life happens constantly, and everything happens for a reason – every thought, memory, feeling, and action as a mental event is caused by previous experience and both conscious and unconscious events.
