NOTICE OF TEMPORARY WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ON COUNTY ROADS

The winter season is starting to give way to spring in Delaware County. This means not only is the sap running as maple syrup season begins, but also the moisture underneath the roads begins to move during the day and freeze at night, stressing the road surface.

To protect the county-owned roads that are most susceptible to this soil movement, DelCo DPW has posted weight limits on them as of Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Emergency vehicles and school buses are exempt from the weight restrictions.
Please heed all weight postings, as they are created to reduce pot holes and other road damage that can in turn damage vehicles.

Once we are clear of this in-between weather, the weight postings will be removed, so please follow our Facebook page for updates. Thank you for helping us protect the investment in our roads and the vehicles that travel on them.
