This video shows excerpts from a work-in-progress performance of Requiem for a Stranger by Vagabond Inventions. It was performed at New Orleans' Contemporary Arts Center on October 5, 2019. This sample demonstrates the interaction of abstract movement with vocal song and the finger piano – the kalimba. Music is composed and performed live by Renee Benson. Movement is devised collaboratively and performed by Grace Booth and Jennifer Sargent. The paper set was designed by Jeff Becker. This work-in-progress was directed by Jennifer Sargent.
