Posibilidades Perdidas es una obra para piano. Se trata de un tema con variaciones, diez distintas, que van transformando la música de diversas maneras. Busque un sonido de piano un tanto más oscuro de lo habitual para acompañar el tema simple, que acompañaría cómodamente alguno de los escenarios de Miyazaki. Cada variación reinterpreta el tema de una manera particular, para ser más detallista:

Var. I: El acompañamiento se convierte en un ir y venir ascendente-descendente mientras la melodía se filtra entre medio. Inspirado en el “Nocturno No. 3” de Liszt.
Var. II: 3/4, un vals, simplemente.
Var. III: Una suerte de "reexposición" antes de que el tema se aleje más y más, una versión desarrollada del comienzo.
Var. IV: Acompañamiento en crescendo, siempre desde la nada, una melodía más "saltada" y distintas capas que se entremezclan.
Var. V: Cada vez más denso, cada vez más fuerte.
Var. VI: El foco es el ritmo, una clave da el tono y de ahí en más son juegos alrededor de ella.
Var. VII: Un movimiento más lento y cromático que contrasta con el anterior. Algunos leves dejos de Piazzolla.
Var. VIII: El resultado de escuchar "Voiles" de Debussy y "The Drum Also Waltzes" de Max Roach.
Var. IX: Un falso retorno que juega con armonizaciones y cambios rítmicos.
Var. X: Una última vuelta por el tema antes de terminar.

Lost Possibilities is a work for piano. It is a theme with variations, ten different ones, that transform the music in different ways. I looked for a slightly darker piano sound than usual to accompany the simple theme, which would comfortably accompany any of Miyazaki's scenarios. Each variation reinterprets the theme in a particular way, to be more detailed:

Var. I: The accompaniment becomes an up-and-down back and forth as the melody seeps in between. Inspired by Liszt's “Nocturne No. 3”.
Var. II: 3/4, a waltz, simply.
Var. III: A sort of "re-exposition" before the subject gets farther and farther away, a developed version of the beginning.
Var. IV: Accompaniment in crescendo, always from nowhere, a more "skipped" melody and different layers that intermingle.
Var. V: More and more dense, more and more strong.
Var. VI: The focus is the rhythm, a “clave” gives the tone, and from then on, it plays around it.
Var. VII: A slower and more chromatic movement that contrasts with the previous one. Some slight hints of Piazzolla.
Var. VIII: The result of listening to "Voiles" by Debussy and "The Drum Also Waltzes" by Max Roach.
Var. IX: A false return that plays with reharmonizations and rhythmic changes.
Var. X: One last round on the subject before finishing.
