PLANTS ALIVE presents a work in development using digital techniques newly acquired during the COVID-19 lockdown period. This work aims to emphasise the importance of the plant through altering scale and giving it human-like movement.

This work was presented by Centre for Projection Art as part of LIGHT WINDOWS, a world-wide project produced by HoloCenter, New York encouraging artists to display light art in the windows of homes and venues around the world and share a message of unity and hope during the COVID-19 pandemic. Centre for Projection Art presented six installations for this project in wondows along the top floor of Collingwood Yards.

Walton is an accomplished contemporary artist exhibiting regularly in non-traditional and public spaces both in Australia and Internationally. Her practice addresses human relationships with the physical systems of the planet by interrogating shifting environments caused by climate change. By using digital technology in the production and presentation of works, she aims to highlight the current technological climate and raise questions around its effect on our rapidly changing world.
