In the last few months, we have been going over the skills taught in Grades 1 through 3 to babies and children from about 4 months through the age of 3. We have discovered new teaching aids and ways to use them. The progression has become more black and white. Our focus is on achieving solid objectives for each of the grades that includes the PLUS levels in each grade.

Previously, the focus of Parent-Tot was to simply acclimate the students to the water and introduce basic skills, while having fun at the same time. With the help of these videos, training, and the new Smart Fish Method 8.0 teaching concepts and teaching aids, the Parent-Tot program can be as productive in skill development as regular privates.

SO - WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT PARENT TOT 8.0?

From now on we will treat the Parent-Tot classes like workshops. Unless all the students in the class are brand new INTRO and BEGINNER level students, there will be less time for the extra action song activities and more time will be spent focusing on specific skill development.

The “END GAME” of the SFM Parent-Tot 8.0 program is to teach parents to teach their students all the skills in the Smart Fish Method Grades from 0 through 3. These “undergrads” will receive a certificate for completing Grade 3 and be ready to enrol in the Parent-Tot Graduate level that begins with Grade 3+ where they can transition into learning with a teacher instead of with their parent.
